Pozo Alcón is a town and municipality located in the southeastern part of the Sierra de Cazorla region of Jaén , in the province of Jaén , autonomous community of Andalusia . It borders the municipalities of Huesa , Hinojares , Quesada and Peal de Becerro in Jaén (through an enclave of the Pealeño municipal area), and the municipalities of Cortes de Baza , Zújar , Cuevas del Campo and Dehesas de Guadix in Granada . The rivers Guadiana Menor and Guadalentín run through its area , supplying water to the La Bolera reservoir .
The municipality of Pozo includes the population centres of Pozo Alcón - municipal capital - and Fontanar .
