Have you ever thought about living in a cave house? Or do you think it would be too dark or stuffy? We would like to invite you to take a look around and form your opinion based on this property.
The property we are showing you here is located in a small village a few minutes from the motorway between Vélez Rubio and Baza. It is in a beautiful, easily accessible spot near the edge of a rambla where you can always get fresh spring water from the natural spring.
The house looks like a normal Spanish home from the front. You enter through a gate onto your terrace with on the left a barbecue area with a wood oven. To the right, the owner has created a separate area with artificial grass where his grandchildren can play freely. It would be easy to make a swimming pool here if you would like to. Do you prefer some more shade? That is no problem. You can shield this part of your terrace from the sun using the rail system placed above.
On entering the cave house, take note of the thick walls, some of which are beautifully tiled. A level of finishing you will also find in the rest of the house.
You enter a hall from where, on the left, you have a passage to two bedrooms and the bathroom with the toilet in a separate room. The baby bedroom is an attractive space with an open connection to the hallway. The double bedroom at the end of the corridor is at the front of the house, as is the modern bathroom and toilet. This brings in natural light.
We now walk through the hallway again to the living room. What a wonderful atmosphere is present here. The thick, coarse, white walls contrast beautifully with the beautiful tiled floor. Here, too, plenty of natural light enters through the glass doors that open directly onto the terrace. In the living room, you will see a combination of colours and details that show the owner´s love of Moorish influences. A wood-burning stove with oven takes centre stage. Imagine the pleasant temperature as soon as you fire up this stove. The owner emphasises several times that everything will remain present at the sale. So the current atmosphere will not be lost when the house is transferred to you.
To the left of the stove we enter the small, cosy kitchen and to the right of the stove a beautiful storage room, which was used by the first owner as a relaxation room.
From the living room you can go to a very spacious second living room. Although this is further into the cave, natural light enters through a skylight in the ceiling. Adjacent to this lounge are two more bedrooms, furnished with the same attention to detail.
